Happened across this stuff in the automotive section of the grocery store. Non flammable gas alternative? WTF??? I have to wonder what's in this stuff, as it says clearly on the back of the bottle that you need to use it while the engine is warm, and if you allow the engine to cool after driving on it without adding real gas, you may need to use starting fluid. I certainly can't imagine ever putting this stuff in any of my cars, especially at $20/half gallon.

For the love of god, don't ever put that in a car.

It has a higher flash point than gasoline (the site says 105 degrees), so it is considered safe to transport in your vehicle. It still is some sort of petro-chemical though.

I can't find an msds but the website says its gasoline without butane and some other chemicals, which brings its rating down from flamible to combustible. It sounds like diesel for gasoline engines.

So is lighter fluid. Put that in your engine.

But it's not legal to have a half gallon jug of lighter fluid in your trunk.

Dunno what's in it, but this article says it works.

It's probably just me, but gas additive in what appears to be an antifreeze jug gives me all sorts of the willies.

Nope, not just you.

"Never run out of gas again!"
So, their mentality of never running out of gas involves switching to a fuel that doesn't run on gas?
By that logic, the Tesla Model S will also never run out of gas.

It's often good policy to avoid a product that has the word 'magic' in it.
